Details: Chase Winters Worldwide (a leading retained executive search firm) is currently conducting a highly visible search engagement for a Director of IT Development and SAP Supply Chain. Our client is a national provider of wireless voice, messaging, and data services with approximately 36,000 employees in the U.S. Our client is part of one of the world's largest telecommunications companies, and consistently receives "Best Place to Work" and "Best Employer" awards. Director of IT Development and SAP Supply Chain The Director, EIT Business Solutions, will have responsibility for leading an organization focused on Supply Chain solutions including: • Developing an organization and staffing plan that ensures availability of appropriate resources. • Determining appropriate processes and tools needed to achieve development, delivery, reliability and availability goals. • Deploying processes and tools within the standard SDLC and service management framework to ensure alignment with enterprise development, test management and monitoring standards. • Understanding and implementing SAP and other IT best practices as well as best practices associated with CMMi, ITIL and ASAP methodology. • Maintaining and leveraging strong partnerships with SAP, JDA and other key software and services suppliers. • Establishing a right-shoring model that ensures availability of key skills, provides rapid cycle time and reduces costs. • Establishing and maintaining organization, processes and technology platforms that support high quality, high availability and responsiveness to customer needs. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: • Develop, execute and maintain strategic plan and ongoing operating plans. • Establish partnerships with Supply Chain business teams and manage executive-level relationships. • Establish partnerships with other EIT leadership and teams to and manage cross team relationships and enhance partnership within EIT. • Work with business teams and other EIT teams to establish business priorities and deliver against these priorities. • Develop and maintain solutions architecture for SAP, JDA and other applications related to Supply Chain solutions. Refactor and extend existing applications and supporting processes to incorporate SAP and industry best practices and to align with strategic plan. • Work with IT Governance to align development and operational activities with departmental SDLC and support framework. • Manage the Supply Chain IT organization, including administrative and financial responsibilities for this organization. Identify, attract and retain key skills and capabilities for this team. Qualifications: • Understanding of the way in which business teams must interact with an IT team in order to make both successful. Experience in developing leadership-level relationships within the business teams and leveraging these relationships to ensure success. • Demonstrated experience in establishing an SAP enterprise footprint that supports core business functions (e.g., finance, HR, supply chain, supplier relationship management) in accordance with SAP and industry best practices. • Working knowledge of SAP technologies, platforms and standards including (e.g.) R/3, Solution Manager, BW, SRM and CRM. • Working knowledge of other Supply Chain technologies, such as JDA planning systems, and Manhattan Associates logistics systems. • Experience in establishing and executing Supply Chain programs in conjunction with business teams. • Demonstrated organizational development and personnel management skills appropriate to Director-level position in a large IT organization. • Background in applying best practices to development and operational processes. • Ability to negotiate services and software agreements with SAP and other software vendors. Experience: Minimum of 8+ years in an Information Technology leadership role with the following: • Experience in successfully developing and executing strategy for leading and operating SAP ERP systems and other Supply Chain systems. • Track record of success in managing Supply Chain solutions in retail and/or wireless services markets. • Experience in managing relationships with business team executives at SVP and C-level. • Experience in developing and maintaining architecture for SAP and ERP systems in alignment with business strategy. Education and Training: • Undergraduate Degree Required • Master's Degree - Strongly Preferred OR Equivalent Experience • Industry knowledge (consumer/retail) - Strongly preferred Base Compensation Range, Other Compensation, and Benefits: Base Compensation: $130,000- $170,000 (midpoint = $150,000) Target Bonus: 25% of Base Compensation (midpoint = $37,500)
